MSU Greenline 2012: A year in pictures

With 2013 underway, the New Year brings new resolutions and high aspirations for MSU Greenline. After spending the past year reaching many goals and accomplishing new things, Greenline has a lot to be proud of. Not only did they secure over $3 million in gifts to the university, but they also spent 2012 working to make the surrounding community a better place. To sum up some of the year's accomplishments, here is MSU Greenline 2012, a year in pictures:


MSU Greenline said goodbye to the old calling room at the beginning of the year as they relocated to a freshly renovated room in Spartan Stadium.

MSU Greenline staff collected over 500 items to be donated in their Clothing Drive. Pictured are External Philanthropy Managers Illycia Shaw and Danielle Matlick.


MSU Greenline callers showed their appreciation to troops overseas by writing letters in hopes of boosting morale.


To support the Help a Willing Kid Foundation, Greenline participated in a pasty sale where they raised over $400.

Prior to Relay for Life, the M/W and Tu/Th calling teams competed in a Coin War to raise money for the event.

MSU Greenline hosted their first-ever Full Court Support five on five basketball tournament where they raised over $400 for the MSU Promise Scholarship Fund.

The AIDS Walk marked the one year anniversary of community involvement within the External Philanthropy department.


MSU Greenline made their first appearance in the Homecoming Parade with their hand-crafted DeLorean with the theme of "Giving Back... to the Future." MSU's Homecoming theme this year was "Spartans Will... Make History."

The second installment of Full Court Support featured a dodgeball tournament where Greenline raised over $400 for breast cancer research.


Marking the second Food Drive for MSU Greenline, staff donated over 800 items to be distributed to 3 families for the holidays.

Over the course of the year, MSU Greenline also had eleven callers reach the $100,000 mark in total donations since joining Greenline. Callers who reached this mark in 2012 are: Cristi Ambroso, Adam Anderson, Tiandra Bowens, Donavan Bullock, Deon Davis, Marissa Luna, Ryan McCormick, Sarah Miller, Ivan Momchilov, Kayvon Parvizi and Shauna Sly. Reaching this milestone shows the dedication and passion for MSU that each of these Greenliners possess. It is because of this kind of dedication that MSU Greenline will continue on into 2013 striving for excellence and working to improve the university one call at a time.
